I never need an excuse to dine at Mazzo & frankly speaking i have met nobody yet who hasn’t been charmed by this lovely poolside terrace restaurant of @marriottexecutiveapartmentshyd . Mazzo is now hosting a Great Amritsari Spread by visiting chef from Amritsar, @chef_nachhater . I never knew I would say this for lassi which is at best an accompaniment/digestive to a huge Punjabi meal but the lassi by chef Nachater was worth being “shaheed”! For, it was that drop dead delicious! Creamy, perfect blend of tangy and sweet & topped with pista-badam and malai, this lassi left an imprint on my 💜 The spread also had the fluffiest hot Amritsari Kulcha and pillowy soft Chhole. My other faves were Amritsari Macchi, Malai chicken tikka & Angara chicken tikka, the marinades steeped well into the meats and the grilling just perfect And The dessert was a divine coup: Ganne Ras ka kheer, with saunf and slivered almonds. What I loved about this Punjabi curation was the homely feel to the food, no posturing or oily masaaledaar stuff, just genuine recipes which are cooked at home! The food pop up is on for dinners from May 23rd to May 31st.
