Graceful and warm hospitality, with an unhurried agenda and happy chatter around known faces while tucking into a delicious Hyderabadi spread. Had forgotten how OG Iftaar get-togethers in the month of Ramzan in Hyderabad feel like. Tonight’s Iftari evening was hosted by Zafar Javeed the illustrious founder & chairman of the Ul Uloom education society in the spacious auditorium of Muffakam Engineering College, with his son young political leader Aamer Javeed playing gracious co-host. Tawa Machli fry, mutton biryani, Haleem, Kaddu ka Kheer and Khubani ka meetha, followed by some Kadak Irani chai .. politicians, bureaucrats the city’s who’s who was here (pssst , didn’t miss the “influencer” band baaja here) as there was just no attempt to impress, except perhaps the caterer who did a marvellous job 👌 In the end , we were happy to have taken the last minute call to travel in peak time traffic from Financial District to Banjara hills, was so good to meet long lost friends like Nida/Faiz Khan l, Suman Saraf, Venkataraman and Shyam Mohan Jee!
