
Via Campania, the pop up currently running at ITC Kohenur is an ode to coastal south Italian food, especially that of Naples, the capital city of Campania and the Amalfi coast. Chef @aparchatterjee who helms Ottimo, the warm-hued and intimate Italian dinery at @itckohenur went on a month-long sojourn to Italy and researched recipes from homes and hearths of interior rural parts of South Italy too. The results are there to see and savour. From the clam shaped pastry shells filled with asparagus, ricotta and sun dried tomatoes to the Pasta Alla Chittara Al Scoglio, (pasta cut on guitar strings and mixed with the most delectable seafood mix like squid, prawns, clam and fish.), every dish was distinct and a completely novel experience for the palate. While the Polipetti Al Fregola, Braised octopus served on a bed of pasta was exotic, my fave was Pescare in Aqua Pazza , fish in a stock simmered with tomatoes and celery. It was light, flavourful and delicious! The best part is that the seafood doesnt have thst typical pungent smell. Catch the coastal food special running at Ottimo, it’s on for dinner until November 17th, don’t miss it , especially if you are a seafood fan !
