Merry Christmas to all! This has been my go-to holly, jolly Christmas in Secunderabad since the last couple of years & I haven’t seen or experienced a happier one! Organic, (with an entrance ticket costing 50 bucks), well organised and efficient, this pre-Christmas bash is hosted by the Parsi community of Hyderabad. While the previous two years the fair was hosted at the Parsi Dharamshala (itself a heritage building over 100 years old) in Secunderabad , this year they moved venue to the recently revamped Zoroastrian Club. But the festive vibes were as strong as ever, with games (hoopla, housie etc) , treats (delicious plum cake, chicken cutlets roasted ham sandwiches, rare Parsi snacks like Malidu, (sooji halwa kind of pudding), pickles, spices & condiments), shopping (the Parsi gara embroidered bags were again the hot spot and my friends & I shopped here like crazy)! , and a lot of song & dance! The only grievance: Couldn’t meet Santa as I had to get going by late evening fearing the long commute from Secunderabad to Financial District. But what a heart-warming afternoon full of love, warmth and laughter and music (all the Christmas carols/songs on loop). Keep up the great work @zoroastrian.club_secunderabad ! Thank you @daisychenoy for always sending me a heads up for the date and the goodies menu. Loved your roasted chicken/ham sandwiches and Mutton dhansak💜
