After wooing Hyderabadi palates with Bengali flavours, chef @gaurav.sircar is back with his brand GOAT which is mostly about grills. And what an exciting collaboration with Mazzo, the lovely rooftop terrace restobar of @marriottexecutiveapartmentshyd it is turning out to be! I was there on the inaugural night of Friday for a trial and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. None of those outdoor grill experiences one has had of indifferent marinades which barely register on the grilled meats/veggies. The six hours braised mutton ribs in a scallion gremolata, for example was genius personified. Harissa Prawns came a close second in my favourites and a surprise inclusion on my list of faves was the Grilled Cheese chilli with a mustard dip. The flaky, light and crisp Puff-Zzah with mild mushroom, truffle and arugula was an absolute delight. The food pairing was done with some kickass cocktails crafted by the ingenuous Sajid Nathani . Merchant Spritz and Mirror of the Sky were my personal favourites. The lovely outdoor weather and the magical twinkling fairy lights as well as the fabulous city line views were the seal on the deal. The pop up is on until February 14th & it seems like the perfect rendezvous for a Valentines Day date, so go book uour tables by the poolside now!
