A fact which I was pleasantly surprised to know recently was that the International Hospitality Day or IHD celebrated worldwide on April 24th, was founded by Indian hospitality entrepreneur Suborno Bose. Founder of the IIHM (international institute of Hotel Management), Subarno Bose thought it was a huge lacunae for the world of hospitality and so was born the IHD in April 2016. Recently, IIHM Hyderabad celebrated IHD acknowledging the contributions of hospitality professionals, both small and mighty. So if there were standalone restaurant owners and star hotel GMs being felicitated, thete were grassroot workers like kitchen stewards and housekeeping staffers who were acknowledged too. And yes, yours truly was also awarded thd hospitality influencer of the year. Was very happy to see foodpreneur Nirmala, (congrats@sabkipasandnirma) win the debutant award for her Vietnamese diner Banh Mi Babe Thank you @iihmhyderabad and @jearnestimmanuel for the honour! 🙏🏻💜
