Sheer coincidence that I chose to watch Ikkis post dinner (considering that the entire day was taken up in discussing War Horribilis especially the ghastly assassination of Khameini! And one could do with less or no war.. ) but then I guess it was the subconscious mind which reached out for Ikkis.. Unfair to compare Ikkis with Dhurandhar (apples and oranges or similar) but yes I did watch this with avid attention and zero cringe factor (unlike Dhurandhar, which of course had a more arresting pace) . Dharmendra & Asrani (in the briefest cameo) were a pleasure to watch, especially. Jaideep Ahlawat always is a great actor. Agastya Nanda fitted the role of dashing young soldier Arun Khetarpal to the tee but wish he was a tad more effective and convincing ! I will recommend Ikkis as a must-watch for its message in the end when Dharmendra tells Jaideep Ahlawat , his son’s assassin that all this warfare will end when we the people decide to end war!
