
Poila Boisakh, celebrated on the first day of the Bengali New Year is around the corner on April 15th Tuesday. To mark the occasion, Sheraton Hyderabad is hosting a Bengali pop-up curated by the talented, and popular home chef Nandita. At a media preview lunch on Saturday, chef Nandita presented some of the best known Bengali Classics and Thali on a Thali such as Kodaishutir Kochuri, Aloor Dom, Kosha Mangsho, Maacher Paturi, Bhetki fish fry, Channar Dalna, Aamer Chutney, but the absolute stand out was the Chingri Baata Fried prawns ground to a paste and garnished with mustard oil, it was just to die for ! Mishti Mookh like the Bongs say, were provided by Aam Bhapa Doi (mishti doi, a little thicker and infused with mango purée and alsi garnished with diced mango and the absolutely rare to find Mihi Daana.
