First off, an honest confession: this post got delayed for various reasons and I am not amused, as this dining experience had left me feeling light & happy . But like they say, Der Aaye, Durust Aaye. @jollybrosandco located opposite KBR Park brings to Hyderabad the friendly and engaging vibe of Mumbai’s Irani cafés, down to the wooden chairs, red and white checkered table linen, colorful artwork/graffiti on the walls, showcasing Hyderabad and even a Chakna menu,with prices as low as ₹150! The menu is quite comprehensive varying between Nalli Nihari to pasta. Don’t miss the delightfully crisp Bolenjir fish Rawa fry if you are a seafood lover, ditto with the Panko Prawns. There are enough chicken starters on the menu, the Jolly Fried Chicken gets our vote. But the Roasted Chana was an absolute surprise. Chickpeas deep fried in a lovely masala, not sure if the Chana was boiled though, worth finding out 😉 They have a separate picante menu and are both perfectly crafted (they use the lReposado tequila which is aged well) and priced at a very pocket-friendly ₹600 . Loved both the Guava & Yuzu Picantes. Don’t miss the Old City Dal Gosht and the Aloo Keema with the softest Pavs. Kudos to foodpreneur partners Nikhil Dhawan and Naren Pal Singh for creating one culinary gem after the other, and getting the Hyderabadi dining pulse absolutelt correct Jee! The other case in point being the absolutely brilliant Tevar being applauded for its progressive Indian cuisine. They have chosen well too their chef for all occasions, the gifted Manoj Radi. So if you want to enjoy a hearty meal without burning your pockets with friends & family in a spacious, airy well lit ambience Jolly Bros is the place to be!
