99% people are doing headstand wrong… and honestly, the yoga industry doesn’t talk about it enough. Somewhere along the way, headstand became about: “Can you get your legs up?” Instead of: “Can you hold it safely?” So people start: • Jumping into it • Dumping weight into their neck • Forcing balance without control And then wonder why they feel: Neck compression. Fear. Instability. Let me say this clearly— If you’re throwing yourself into a headstand, that’s not yoga. That’s ego. A true headstand is not aggressive. It’s controlled. Intentional. Aligned. You should feel: ✨ Strong in your shoulders ✨ Engaged through your core ✨ LIGHT on your head Not struggling. Not panicking. Not collapsing. And no—doing it “again and again” won’t fix it. Practicing wrong only reinforces wrong patterns. So if your headstand feels heavy or scary, don’t push through it. Pause. Rebuild your foundation. Save this as a reminder: Looking advanced and being safe are NOT the same thing. If you’re ready to unlearn and build it correctly, DM me “HEADSTAND” 🤍 . . . #yogawithpragati #pragatiwithyoga #onlineyogaclasses #yogaforwomen #yogaforall
