Ingredients: Bread slices – 12 Milk – about ½ cup (or as needed to bind the dough) Ghee or oil – for frying For Sugar Syrup (Chashni): Sugar – 2 cups Water – 2 cups Cardamom – 4-5 Few saffron strands Method: In a pan, add sugar and water. Heat until sugar dissolves completely and the syrup turns slightly sticky. Add cardamom saffron. Keep it warm on the side. Trim the edges of all bread slices. Tear into small pieces and sprinkle milk gradually while kneading. Mix till you get a soft, smooth dough — not too dry or sticky. Take small portions of dough and roll into smooth, crack-free balls. Heat ghee or oil on low-medium flame. Fry the jamuns in batches until golden brown and evenly cooked. Drop hot jamuns into warm sugar syrup. Let them soak for at least 30–40 minutes till soft and juicy.
