
The ULTIMATE Sticky Toffee Pudding Recipe! This rich, moist dessert with warm toffee sauce is a British classic you NEED to try 😌 🍰Ingredients- For the Cake: 150 ml whole milk 150 g pitted dates, slightly chopped ½ teaspoon baking soda 75 g butter 75 g brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs 90 g plain flour ¾ teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon ground ginger For the Sauce: 75 g butter 75 g soft dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 190 ml double cream Method: Boil milk, then remove from heat. Stir in chopped dates + baking soda. Let sit 15 mins. Blend/mash until smooth. Beat butter, brown sugar & vanilla. Add eggs + date mixture, mix well. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger. Add to wet mix, whisk until smooth. Bake in the oven at 180° C for 45 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean. Cover with foil if browning too much. Sauce: While cake bakes, add all sauce ingredients in a pot. Boil, then simmer 1–2 mins to thicken. Once cake is out and still hot, poke holes. Pour over half the sauce. Let it soak for 30 mins. Slice, serve with remaining sauce + ice cream. Enjoy!
