Forget the sweets – this Rakhi, bribe your sibling with butter cookies! Because nothing says love like homemade cookies 🍪 🌸 Ingredients: 1 cup (227g) butter, softened 2/3 cup (80g) powdered sugar (sifted) 1 tbsp warm milk A pinch of saffron strands (8–10 threads) 1 1/4 cups (150g) all-purpose flour, sifted 🥄 Instructions: Infuse the Saffron: Soak saffron strands in 1 tbsp warm milk for 10–15 minutes until golden-yellow. Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy, and creamy. Add Flavor: Mix in the saffron milk. Mix Dry Ingredients: Add in the flour and mix. The dough should be soft but not runny — soft enough to pipe, but firm enough to hold its shape. 💡 Tip: If it’s too stiff to pipe, add 1–2 tsp of milk. If too soft, chill slightly. Pipe the Cookies: Use a star nozzle and a piping bag. Pipe into swirls, on a parchment-lined baking tray. Leave some space between cookies. Top with some crushed pistachios Chill (important!): Chill the piped cookies for 15–20 minutes to help them hold their shape. Bake: Preheat to 180°C. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are just lightly golden.
