Add water gradually and stir to make a thick batter that can coat the potatoes. Add raw, sliced potatoes. Coat the potatoes in the batter evenly so each piece is covered. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry until golden and crispy. Serve hot with vrat-friendly chutney or enjoy as-is with chai.
