
9 Days, 9 Navratri Recipes ✨ Day 4 → Samak Chawal Pulao 🍚💛 Ingredients: 1 cup Sama rice (Barnyard millet) 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter) or oil ginger 2 Green chillies 1/4 th cup peanuts 1 tomato 1 potato Salt, to taste 2 cups water (for 1 cup rice) Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish) Instructions: Rinse the sama rice thoroughly in cold water. Soak for 15 min. Drain and set aside. Heat ghee in a pan. Add the cumin seeds, green chili, peanuts and ginger. Add the tomatoes and potato. Add the sama rice and mix. Add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10-12 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Once done add salt and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
