
9 Days, 9 Navratri Recipes | Day 1: Makhana Kheer Ingredients (Serves 2–3): 1 cup Makhana 2 tbsp Ghee 2 cups Milk 2–3 tbsp Sugar 2 tbsp Pistachios, almonds and cashews 2–3 tbsp Roasted Makhana (whole, for garnish) Instructions: Heat ghee in a pan and lightly roast makhana until aromatic. In the same pan roast almonds, pistachios and cashews. Pour milk into the pan, then add crushed makhana and let it simmer 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy. Stir in sugar and mix in the chopped dry fruits. Add some whole roasted makhanas Garnish with rose petals and dry fruits.
