No! This isn't another"Viral" food spot in Dehradun. This is the one that dissolves itself in mere oblivion but stays prominent etched in your mind. Back in 2016, when I had just shifted to Suddhowala for college, Manduwala became that frequent evening walk spot where me and my friends would find peace and solace. After a long walk we'd dine our heart out at this quaint rooftop restaurant and cafe. Remember, this place isn't instaworthy with glitz and glam aesthetics, no influencer/blogger has documented this place before (glad, again!). One of the very reasons why they remain ridiculously good with northeastern food in Naga style cooked even after a decade. I visit nowadays every alternative weekend and I can confirm, the taste hasn’t changed even one bit. The Double Smoked Pork Shyapta still hits like a spicy, smoky affair. Smoky enough to linger in your throat, greasy in the best possible way, with that rich pork fat melting into the fermented chilli profile so perfectly that every bite tastes slow-cooked with patience. Just incredible! Then came the Pork Dry Noodles, not as simple as it looks but it carries with it a whirlwind of emotions. The oily strands carrying that wok-smoked aroma, juicy pork tucked between every bite. Wow, what a hot mess! Dechen aunty has been cooking this with the same warmth since our college days, and honestly, you can taste that consistency. The Pork Laphings with the Mango Mojito felt like peak nostalgia because we'd miss our classes, drenched in rain just to have laphing. Chewy, starchy, juicy little pockets carrying spicy pork goodness inside, balanced by that icy sweet mango freshness cutting through all the richness. Dangerous combo. Highly foodictive (now you know why my IG name) The best part? The drive from Nanda Ki Chowki to Manduwala via Pondha still feels romantic. #DehradunFoodBlogger #NagaFood #Manduwala #HiddenGem #Sunday [best pork in Dehradun, Manduwala rooftop cafe, northeast food Dehradun, smoked pork shyapta, pork laphings Dehradun, pork dry noodles, hidden cafes in Dehradun, authentic Naga food, college nostalgia places, Dehradun food blog, best rooftop restaurants Dehradun, Sunday food drives]
