Time to head back to my homey home Dehradun... But before that I had to take my mom to @aldokolkata because some places deserve a last stop, especially when they come with this much charm. Maa is a nagging child now so after she's seen a countless reels of @bongsoulmates , the photos, the “must-visit” chatter… I had to take her out on a dinner date. Honestly, Aldo lived up to the social buzz and how! The roasted mutton ribs in classic demi-glace were the star of the table, just the way we like it. Tender, rich, and the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes and appreciate the goodness. The crispy fish and fries with green peas gave that perfect comfort-food crunch (comfort because a Bengali loves their fish fries), and the Sunshine mocktail brimming with a sour-sweet concoction of orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine. It was bright, refreshing, and just the right kind of refresher along with its Kiwi variant. A perfect palate cleanser too before we gobbled up the summer special mango dessert. I'm still remembering the fudge at the edges. It felt like the kind of cafe that works for everything. A mom-son outing, a filling brunch, an instaworthy food stop, and just a good meal before life gets busy all over again.
