
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Because missing Dehradun's first experimental supper club, curated by a Le Cordon Bleu chef, means missing some of the most exciting food and conversations the city has seen in a long time. I attended the very first experimental supper club in Dehradun, @supperatvandys that reminded me why shared tables, curious minds, and thoughtfully plated food can feel so beautifully alive. We began with Pineapple Express, a rejuvenating cooler that brought sweet pineapple evoking the flavour of Meghalaya. Sharp citrus, and a whisper of smoky spice together in one bold sip. It was a refreshing and playful palate opener. Then came East India Company Cannonballs. Golden and crisp, inspired by old Calcutta club snacks, the kind of bite that made me remember my childhood in Kolkata. Spiced, crunchy, and layered with old-world charm. Loved the thought behind Kasundi foam. Locho Motive was one of my favourites in this supper table event. Surat’s beloved locho, reimagined with corn espuma, pickled green peppers, and corn crisps, felt like a family chit chat on cricket and politics. Taco’bout Kerala brought brilliant parotta tacos loaded with smoky Kerala-style chicken pepper roast, paired with pickled onion rings. It was bold, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. Then arrived a cream barley risotto inspired by Bhutan’s treasured Ema Datshi. I've had 20-30 versions of Datshi in Sikkim but this one is a tough competition. The dessert followed by a small goodie made the private dining experience more treasured than ever. Honestly, the only terrible thing is to miss an experience this special.
