Lately, the Dehradun food scene has started to feel a little too predictable, the same concepts, the same plates all focusing on one thing: Virality. What keeps me blogging even now, though, are the places that quietly evolve instead of shouting for attention. The ones rooted, yet brave enough to reinterpret classic flavours in a completely new avatar. The new venture of @sunrisebakers1956 happens to be one of those rare spots, understated, experimental, and underrated for all the right reasons. This is my “alphabet-nth” visit to @serrebysunrise turned into one of those rare moments where food stopped being just food and became an experience I’ll probably talk about for years. Chef @arpit.jolly walked over with the Creamy Chicken Crepe and, before I could even frame a perfect shot, insisted I take the first bite the way he envisioned it. A delicate dill-kissed crêpe wrapped around chicken bathed in velvety béchamel, resting on in-house romesco, earthy, rich, and impossibly silky. That bite wasn’t just delicious. It felt being invited into the thought process behind the plate. The herb freshness lingered long after, and honestly, I forgot for a moment that I was there to actually have the dish completely (sad, my friend gulped it all down as me and the chef kept jabbering). Then came the Mango Habanero Chicken Wings, juicy, sweet at first glance, but slowly building into a confident fiery kick. The tropical glaze balanced heat with surprising elegance, making each wing dangerously addictive. Sweet, spice, and that slow crescendo of warmth… let’s just say “come on baby one more time....” the Britney way. (You don't want to know about the chef special sauce... It's something else altogether). Some meals fill your stomach. Some stay with you forever. This one did both. #DehradunFoodBlogger #GourmetFood #Crepe #ChickenWings #FoodPhotographer [gourmet dining experience, chef curated menu, chicken crepe recipe, mango habanero wings, fine dining India, food blogger review India, luxury cafe experience, best fusion cuisine, Dehradun cafe culture, culinary storytelling, chef special dishes, premium food review, modern European cuisine]
