There is something comforting about watching legacy brands grow without losing their soul. Dehradun’s food culture has evolved, and Serre by Sunrise seems to have caught the essence. "Hey, have you heard about this new café by Dehradun's oldest bakery @sunrisebakers1956 ?" And that is how my friend took me to embrace one of those café memories that evolved to be bigger. @serrebysunrise , born from one of Dehradun’s oldest and most loved bakeries, located at Laxmi Road, Dalanwala. I never thought it'd become a place that I'd keep returning to again & again. Our first indulgence was the Pork Pepperoni Pizza. Crisp yet tender crust, spicy pork pepperoni, and perfectly melted mozzarella made it a pizza that knows exactly what it is doing. Next came the Serre Seduction, an espresso based mojito that wowed me. Bold notes, refreshing mint, and a playful balance that makes you sip slowly, then eagerly. A first of its kind in Dehradun. The Broasted Chicken Burger followed, golden and crispy with rich cheddar and a subtle chilli mayo. Comfort food done right, indulgent without being overwhelming. I knew I nailed it when I asked them "No veggies please". Then the Japanese Fish Fingers, light, crisp, tender inside, paired beautifully with their tartar sauce. Simple, precise, and satisfying. We ended with Irish Coffee, smooth, gently boozy, creamy, and comforting, the kind of finish that lingers long after the last sip. "You know what I like here?" my friend said, "Nothing feels forced."
