How it feels to be a tourist in your own hometown! Honestly, it’s magical. It’s been almost a decade since I left Kolkata, but every visit feels like rediscovering my roots. I usually come home twice or thrice a year, and every time, Maa becomes my personal tour guide, taking me through the hidden gems of Kolkata, telling stories of its colonial charm, old-world architecture, and cultural heartbeat. This time, we explored the Baghbazar ferry ghat and took a launch ride across the Ganges to Howrah. The cool river breeze brushed against my face while the setting sun painted the Howrah Bridge in shades of gold, a sight that never fails to stir something deep inside. What makes it even more special is the legacy behind it. My grandfather used to take Maa to these very places when she was a child, stories passing from one generation to another, carried like whispers across the Ganges.
