Aritro's Post

When I say this supper table in Dehradun was dangerous, I mean it. Dangerous because one course made me look forward to the next. Dangerous because every time I thought I had found my favourite dish, another one arrived and changed my mind. I've known @tacoboutramen Chef Kirti Agarwal's work for nearly 5-6 years, so when she launched @theomakasestudio Supper Table after moving to Dehradun, I knew expectations would be high. She exceeded them ten-fold ngl. I had, for the first time salad pizzas, some of them topped with peppery arugula, creamy stracciatella, homemade potato crisps, hot honey, brown butter and feta. The beautifully indulgent 100-layer lasagne with rich mutton ragu, and cannoli rolls felt thoughtfully crafted for our palate. It felt like we were transported to the streets of Sicily and enjoying every bite with utmost flavour and fervour. What I enjoyed most wasn't just the food, but the experience. 6 strangers sharing a table, discussing flavours, sipping @fratelliwines and watching a chef tell stories through experiential dining. Special mention to Chef Consultant @jaimehra27 as well, whose presence added a layer of expertise to the evening. Thank you for supporting my dearest sister. Dehradun's food scene is evolving and intimate dining experiences like these are proof that some of the city's most exciting meals aren't happening in restaurants anymore.
