A restaurateur friend visits from Kolkata and I took him to @abidis_virsa . I had heard good things about the place plus they are one of the few people to serve authentic Hyderabadi dishes, much beyond biryani. Nice cosy place in Banjara Hills. The service was top notch. The menu has been curtailed due to the recent LPG crisis (there was no Lukmi or Patthar Ka Gosht), but still they had many local dishes. Of the dishes we ordered Marag was top notch, the Haleem ok for off-season, though it was slightly low on meat. Shikampur was good too. The Talawa Gosht lacked balance in the masala. For desserts we took Khubani ka Meeta and Apricot delight, very decent. Will look forward to trying their other dishes sometime.
