Winter just got warmer at Burma Burma Hyderabad with their limited-time festival, “Comfort is Khowsuey”, a celebration of one of Burma’s most iconic noodle broths. We tried three of the five special Khow Sueys on the menu, and each one brought its own story and flavour twist: ~ Grandma’s Special Khowsuey, a comforting coconut-milk broth with toasted peanuts and tomatoes. ~ Shwe Taung Khowsuey, pan-fried noodles with mock meat, rich, hearty and full of texture. ~ Dry Khowsuey, a tossed, non-brothy version with rice noodles and crunchy corn crisps. The festival also features zero-proof cocktails and every drink impressed with its presentation and balance: • Burma Sour (whisky-inspired) • Yangon Sunset • Pandan Royale (gin-inspired) Starters added even more joy, Pan-Fried Dumplings, WA Potato, and Crunchy Shitake Fingers. Special shoutout to the Bandel Cheese Dip paired with mushroom fingers, absolutely addictive! And of course, Burma Burma desserts always steal the spotlight. We tried: ~ Berry Burst ~ Rangoon Baked Milk (complete with some stunning tableside theatrics.)
