Hyderabad’s food scene continues to evolve, and Orlo, the city’s newest restaurant, is a fine example of how thoughtfully designed spaces and well-crafted menus can come together to create a memorable dining experience. Orlo sets the tone with a warm, contemporary ambience with the outdoor section as well as some tables from indoor giving us a stunning look of Durgam Cheruvu. The menu at Orlo is Pan-Indian curated to appeal to varied palates, balancing familiar comforts with modern touches. Each dish is plated with care, flavours are clean and well-defined, and there’s a clear focus on quality ingredients and technique. Some of the dishes that stood out during our visit include: • Kakori Nawabon Se - The Awadhi kabab was absolute melt in the mouth as it should be • Prawn Thecha - The Maharashtrian dish exonerated itself very well • Sigdi Paplet Recheado - Brilliant spice balance and the pomfret cooked just to perfection • Ema Datshi - Do try it if you like cheesy stuff • Tadka Wali Lauki Dal - Highest level of comfort food Their Indian breads are also worth mentioning, especially the Orlo Kulcha and Khameeri Roti. Among the desserts, my picks were the Kulfi Falooda and Gulab Wali Gelato.
