Short visits to Vizag rejuvenate me. I usually stay at Novotel Vizag at Ramakrishna Beach. An early morning visit to the Ramakrishna Mission temple followed by a long morning walk on the beach is my usual routine. This is usually followed by a sumptuous breakfast at Novotel. Lunches and dinners are usually either on the beach or restaurants around. This time we tried “Red Bowl”, oriental restaurant at Novotel rooftop. For snacks try any of the Muntha Masala stalls on the beach, both the muri mixture and mirchi bajji are superb. Even in summer time, there is a calming cool breeze in the evening at the seabeach. For lovers of KFC, there is a kiosk just opposite the beach. Overall, a very predictable but enjoyable short visit that I religiously do every year.
