Second visits are quite underrated. Your palate now knows why returning to @chicadoon the hottest brunch destination is more than a necessity. The setting, as always, does half the magic. Open skies, the Doon Valley stretching endlessly in front of you, fountains gently dancing in the background. The space feels almost therapeutic. But the food? Immaculate. Here's why. The Lamb Adana Kebab arrived beautifully charred, carrying that smoky edge that tells you the grill was respected. Juicy, robust, layered with spice, not aggressive, but rather rightly spiced. The pickled vegetables cut through the richness perfectly, the shirazi added freshness, and the hummus was nutty, grounding every bite with creamy goodness. The Ricotta Pomodoro Kofta was elegance on a plate. Soft, almost cloud-like koftas that melt gently, wrapped in a velvety tomato sauce that balances sweetness and tang. The fenugreek dust adds that subtle warmth at the finish. Never knew vegetarian food would woo me. Ebi Tempura Sushi was a palate cleanser I'd say. The golden fried prawn had that satisfying crunch, giving way to tender sweetness inside. The sriracha mayo delivered a playful touch, wasabi didn't overpower quite. Each bite was structured, layered, and thoughtfully balanced. The showstopper Pahadi Mutton Curry. Deep, robust, slow-cooked, unapologetically rich. The mutton was tender enough to yield effortlessly, coated in Himalayan spices and yogurt that created a comforting, earthy gravy. It felt rooted. Honest. Soulful. What else could I've asked for!
