I am still savouring the warm hospitality of the Eid lunch hosted yesterday by prominent theatre personality Mala Pasha, the founder of @torn.curtains theatre group. The vibe at her elegant, well-appointed home was warm, informal and every guest felt absolutely comfortable and special. No wonder as I learnt that the tradition of Eid lunches at the Pasha home is about half a century old ! And the crowning glory of course had to be the gorgeous Hyderabadi food cooked (with the help of their domestic kitchen help, of course) by Mala’s lovely daughter Anjum Pasha, an advocate & educator who also cooks a mean Hyderabadi feast. So thete she was, ladling out her signature Nalli Gosht, Talaawa Gosht, Shikampur kebabs, Biryani , Baghaara Baingan and the works! Plenty of vegetarian stuff too as many of Malas theatre friends were also vegetarian. Needless to say, the Sheer Khorma made the most perfect ending to a perfect afternoon! Oh I forget the Meetha Paan offered at the end of the OG hyderabadi feast. Went back home in a stupor , lol 😂.. Eid Mubarak, people! Never too late to wish Eid 💜🤗 #eid #eidmubarak
