Hyatt Place Hyderabad has re-introduced its Sunday brunch after a temporary lull post Covid, and there I was, checking out the brunch spread last Sunday on invite. The brunch is now being placed at their lobby-level all-day dinery Gallery Cafe. I have always liked the open, well-lit and energetic ambience at the cafe and adding to the brunch spirit was a live music performance by @funnymansaif and the drinks counter. A definite highlight was the buzzing (with diners) Hyderabadi live counter serving mutton haleem, Hyderabadi Chicken biryani & a soya keema biryani for vegetarians. Personally speaking, I loved the Mezze platter, with the pita breads, lavash and the accompanying hummus (a pea one too), Muhammara, the salads and cheese counter looked appealing too ! The chaats counter are always a big draw and I had my fix of paani Puri & Papdi chaat. Also loved the Egg-layered prawns in a red pepper sauce and the Three Treasure Veggies in hot garlic sauce and chilli basil Noodles were on par too ! Desserts include a chocolate fountain & similar though I loved the angoori Rasmalai , perfectly soft and not so sweet! The wines/beer counters are free-flowing and adding further “spirits” to the brunch vibes is the live performance (Bollywood, Hollywood, retro, fusion et al on request) by young musician @funnymansaif .. So, my recco would be to book yout Sunday brunch tables @hyattplacehyd ; the non alcoholic package costs ₹1,999 plus taxes while the non alcoholic package costs ₹2,999 plus taxes.
