Just back from Egypt — visited the Pyramids of Giza in the last week of October and still vibrating from the scale, silence, and sand in my shoes. Standing beside Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure felt like time folded into one horizon. Visiting right before the GEM’s unveiling felt like watching one chapter of history hand its torch to the next — the plateau is ancient, but heritage work around it is very, very modern.
