Had a long layover in Zurich and wow… I did not expect to have this much fun. What started as just “killing time” turned into a full-on mini adventure. 😄 👉🏻 I jumped on one of their cute blue-and-white trams and just let it take me through the heart of the city. The old town is straight out of a fairytale—cobblestone streets, centuries-old buildings, hidden alleyways, and those dreamy views of the Limmat River. It honestly felt like I had stepped into a living postcard. 👉🏻 At one point, I stopped at Café Grande, right by the water, and just sat there soaking it all in—sipping on rich coffee and enjoying a slice of berry cake that was chef’s kiss. Later, I “accidentally” got lost (the best kind of lost) and stumbled on some cheese pretzels that I’m still thinking about, fresh local berries from a market stall, and of course… a little chocolate shopping spree at Lindt. I may have walked away with some white truffle goodies and artisanal Swiss cheese too. No regrets. 🧀 👉🏻 What really made it special? The people. I had no idea how helpful and friendly everyone would be—most spoke English and were super happy to guide me around when I looked confused (which was often 😅). Honestly, this layover turned into a highlight of the trip. Zurich, you’ve officially made it onto my "must-return" list! 🇨🇭💛 If you ever find yourself with a few hours in Zurich… don’t stay at the airport.
