𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀? 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴! You know that manager who walks into every meeting with solutions already figured out? The one who interrupts your explanation to tell you exactly what to do? The one who makes you feel like your job is just to execute their brilliant ideas? At first, you might think they're super competent. They always know what to do, right? But then you notice something strange happening. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. They stop contributing ideas. They stop taking ownership. They just wait for instructions and follow them mechanically. Meanwhile, there's that other leader down the hall. The one who asks more questions than they answer. "What do you think is causing this issue?" "How would you approach this problem?" "What are we missing here?" Their meetings feel different. People lean in. Everyone contributes. Solutions emerge that no single person could have thought of alone. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 - 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. The difference? The first leader hoards thinking. The second leader multiplies it. That's what this insight means: "𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗜𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲." Your job isn't to be the smartest person in the room.
