I belong to a forest 🌳 not to a city 🏙️ I’ve always felt it in the way animals meet me. Not cautiously. Not defensively. But as if something in them relaxes the moment I arrive. A horse I had just met in Palani hills rested against me like we had known each other for years. His caretakers said he had never behaved that way before. A fighter bull in Chettinad, people feared, stood quietly in front of me, lowering his head into my touch. A cheetah in Mauritius once softened under my hand and started swaying its tail. And then there was Ronda, the elephant in Sri Lanka. Such a good girl. I scrubbed her skin with coconut shells and every time I moved close to her ears, she stayed impossibly gentle, careful not to flap them against me. I couldn’t stop kissing her. She knew I loved her, and somehow, I knew she knew. People call it courage, but it has nothing to do with fearlessness. I don’t enter their world to conquer it. I enter it with love. Unlike humans, animals know the difference. They don’t care about age, status, image, charm, money, or performance. They read something far more honest. Your energy. Your intention. Your nervous system. Whether you come with control in your heart or peace. And somehow, every single time, they let me in. That’s why I struggle so much with humans sometimes. Animals rarely pretend to be what they are not. Humans do it constantly. Animals don’t punish sensitivity. They respond to it. They don’t care how impressive you are. They care about how safe you feel. I think animals judge humans more accurately than humans judge each other. And every time one trusts me instantly, it feels less like I won something, and more like I passed a silent test without trying to. I honestly wouldn’t care if humans didn’t like me. In fact, it would probably be best for me, if they didn’t. But the day an animal rejects me, I think it would genuinely break my heart. #travelwithkrazybutterfly #animalsloveme #animalovers
