Amritsar is a fountain of eternal energy, radiating unwavering spirit of Sikhs. And I was happy to explore the city while I stayed at an equally historical place - Earth Resort, the former 130-year-old Victoria Jubilee Hospital, which was built to honor the 55th anniversary of Queen Victoria's reign. 👉🏻 The municipality of Amritsar erected this hospital during the year of the reign of the Empress Victoria in November 1891. Later, Civil Hospital, Maternity Hospital (1924) and Skin Hospital were constructed on the same premises. 👉🏻 The Punjab Government restored and revamped the abandoned 127-year-old colonial building of Victoria Jubilee Hospital, now Urban Hatt, in consultation with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, to attract tourists to taste Amritsar’s cuisine in 2016. 👉🏻 Now, reimagined as a wellness haven, The Earth Resort lets its visitors relax, rejuvenate, and be restored as Mother Earth, whose loving embrace nurtures every blade of grass, every towering tree. Here I found unhindered and unfettered warmth and comfort in luxury.
