As I wandered through Junagadh in the lap of Mt Girnar, the Swaminarayan Temple stood before me, a majestic symbol of tranquillity and beauty. Its five domes, sculptures, intricate carvings and vibrant motifs drew me closer, inviting me to bask in its divine presence. 👉🏻 Supervised by Brahmanand Swami, every corner of this temple resonates with stories of unwavering devotion, echoing the timeless wisdom of Swaminarayan. King Hemantsinh, also known as Jinabhai, the Darbar of Panchala, generously bestowed the land for this sacred shrine, and his legacy is cherished within its walls. The divine invocation ceremony of the Gods unfolded over two days, marking the auspicious beginning of this spiritual abode. 👉🏻 On May 1st, 1828 A.D., Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan himself graced the temple, installing Shri Ranchhodrai and Trikamrai as the principal deities. Radiating divine blessings, he also consecrated RadhaRaman Dev and Harikrishna Maharaj in the eastern temple, and Siddheswar Mahadev, Parvatiji, Ganapatiji, and Nandishwar in the western sanctum. Surrounded by the gentle hum of prayers and the lingering scent of incense, the temple is a sanctuary where weary travellers find respite and seeking souls discover a beacon of hope.
