Debjani's Post

I've never really been a cafe person, but @thedailykolkata is one of those rare exceptions, for years now. The reason is simple: they stick to the classics without unnecessary changes and their fusions are subtle, not over the top. If something is meant to be a classic, they serve it pure, simple, and good. My second reason is the flexibility of their food options, and if you've been there, you'll know exactly what I mean 🙂. This cafe is a must-visit during winter (they come up with a winter special spread every year). Also we had other reasons too. I had to show off my 30 -year-old Kashmiri shawl I inherited from Maa, Poorna, her beautiful silk saree , and yes we needed to do the yearly thing -enjoying the daily's winter menu.
