Debjani's Post

The past year, and really the past two years, have been a period of significant change for me. I've experienced a wide range of emotions, from moments of fulfillment to life-altering events. Losing my father was incredibly difficult; even though I knew it was coming after his diagnosis, I wasn't truly prepared. However, I now find comfort in knowing he is at peace. My mother, on the other hand, has shown incredible strength, like gold transforming into something even more precious - kundan I suppose. Mehebub moved to a new city for work about a year and a half ago, and surprisingly, our bond has grown stronger. We both now truly understand the meaning of partnership (the friendship) and what it takes to be happy parents. Pasta has grown both physically and mentally; her shoe size is now larger than mine, and she's nearly as tall as my shoulder! She's become a serious young lady, dedicated to her studies, music, and piano - well not always but mostly. And then there are Luchi and Coffee, my homegrown comedians— thank god for them. What else has happened? Oh, I've returned to studying and am hopefully about to complete another professional course. Finally, I've spent a lot of time cooking, exploring everything from simple to challenging dishes. I've been spending a lot of time watching Jonathan Bailey and Jacob Elordi lately 😁. Why am I sharing this? Because I haven't felt like posting much on Instagram. I've been more active on Facebook, writing in Bengali. And yes, I used to write recipes on my blog regularly, sometimes almost two a week! I'm not sure why, but I did it. And I am doing it. Today, I just felt like sharing this here on Instagram along with a few pictures I've taken over the past year, mostly of food and my kids. Okay! Done.. I suppose.. hello.. Love, Debjani!
