I told my daughter , that I can grant 3 wishes of hers like a magic genie , but the only thing she could wish for were changes in her parents. She could’ve said: ❌ Go easy on the rules ❌ Give me more sugar ❌ Don’t make me sleep alone ❌ Do my tasks for me ❌ Mama, say yes to more screen She said: ✅ Mama, spend more time with me ✅ Papa, put your phone down That’s it. That’s all she wanted. And some other silly things too , but mainly she was seeking connection. Our children aren’t asking for perfect parents. They’re asking for present ones. 💛 This weekend, try asking your child the same question - “If a genie gave you 3 wishes to change something about us, what would you wish for?” It might make you laugh. It might catch you off guard.
