આપણે પથ્થરની મૂર્તિ પાસે મન્નતો માંગીએ છીએ, પણ આપણા ઘરના ઉંબરે બેઠેલી 'માં' ના આશીર્વાદ જ આપણી દરેક મુસીબતોને રોકી લે છે. ઈશ્વરને ભોગ ચઢાવવો પડે છે, પણ માં પોતે ભૂખી રહીને આપણને જમાડે છે. શાસ્ત્રોમાં લખ્યું છે કે 'જનની જન્મભૂમિશ્ચ સ્વર્ગાદપિ ગરીયસી' – એટલે કે જનેતાનો દરજો સ્વર્ગથી પણ મહાન છે. જેનું નામ લેતા જ હૈયું ભરાઈ આવે, એનાથી મોટું આ દુનિયામાં કોઈ તીર્થ નથી. માતૃ દિવસના પાવન અવસરે તમામ માતાઓને વંદન.
