Here’s my 2-day itinerary for Malaga. Save it for later and feel free to DM me with any questions about bookings or prices. 👉🏻 I stayed at Sallés Hotel Málaga Centro, which is centrally located and within walking distance of major historical sites. Prices start at INR 16K. 👉🏻 Picasso Route Tour and Museum Visits: I explored both the Picasso Museum in the palace and the Museo Casa Natal de Picasso (his birthplace). This 3-hour walking tour covers key sites from Picasso’s childhood and artistic development. The museums offer a look at some of his private collections and historically significant paintings. 👉🏻 Food Sherpas Tour: This 3-hour tour includes a visit to the Atarazanas Market and introduces you to typical Spanish and Andalusian cuisine, along with wine tasting. Your guide will take you to various restaurants for tapas and wine tasting. You can specify your vegetarian or non-vegetarian preferences in advance. 👉🏻 On the evening of my second day, I took a guided tour of the Malaga Corralones, a cultural neighbourhood known for its beautiful courtyards. The tour includes visits to the traditional neighbourhoods of El Perchel and Trinidad, where locals guide you through the historical interiors of their houses and courtyards, known as corralones. 👉🏻 I enjoyed a homemade dinner prepared by the cultural association La Alacena del Corralón—‘alacena’ means pantry. Specializing in traditional Andalusian and Mediterranean cuisine, the association consists mainly of local women from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds and aims to preserve Spanish gastronomic traditions. What I missed, but you shouldn’t, is a walk by the marina.
