In the decade under the Modi-led BJP government, India has witnessed a level of transformation that surpasses the combined progress made during the previous 70 years of Congress rule. From an economy struggling with policy paralysis and corruption scandals in 2014, India has emerged as the world's fastest-growing major economy, with significant growth in GDP, rapid infrastructure development, and millions benefiting from welfare and digital empowerment initiatives. The last ten years saw the construction of more highways than the previous decade, while airports, ports, and railway infrastructure expanded at an unprecedented pace. Rural electrification reached nearly every household. Initiatives such as UPI transformed digital payments and made India a global fintech leader, while schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and PM Awas Yojana brought direct benefits to millions of poor and middle-class families, helping reduce poverty and improve quality of life. The BJP government pushed major reforms such as GST and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code despite facing challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, and global economic uncertainties. With a focus on "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas," it strengthened the economy, attracted record foreign investment, promoted manufacturing through Make in India, and positioned India to become one of the world's largest economies in the coming years. Yet, despite these achievements, a section of society continues to overlook or deny the scale of change. Political bias, misinformation, and constant negative narratives often overshadow facts and development on the ground. As India moves forward with growing confidence and ambition, the gap between visible progress and the criticism directed at it appears increasingly difficult to ignore. @thetrid.ent
