Investigations by Gautam Buddh Nagar Police have revealed that over Rs 1 crore in foreign funds, transferred in dollars, pounds, and euros, were credited to the personal bank account of Satyam Verma, an accused in the violent Noida labour protests that erupted in April. Police stated that the funds were quickly moved to other accounts, and links to various organisations are now under scrutiny. The development comes after authorities invoked the National Security Act against Verma and another activist amid allegations of inciting violence during the unrest, which involved stone-pelting, arson, and disruption despite wage hike announcements. The protests, initially framed around workers' demands, turned chaotic and drew significant public attention. Critics argue that such agitations often begin with genuine grievances but are amplified through emotional appeals, ultimately serving larger agendas. Once again, people appear to have been swayed by passionate narratives on the ground, only for investigations to point towards external influences aiming to destabilise India's social and economic fabric through foreign-backed interference. Authorities continue to probe the full trail of transactions as the case unfolds, highlighting concerns over how external powers may exploit internal issues to create unrest in key industrial hubs like Noida. @thetrid.ent
