📚Read 7 of 2021 The Guest List by Lucy Foley An eerie island, a celebrity couple to be married, an exclusive guest list, a storm, a dead body. The Guest List is an atmospheric, disturbing, enthralling read. It has a lot of twists and turns, and although predictable it works well because of the multiple povs the story is told through. It adds a nice depth to the narrative, and a character driven story is what makes this book engaging. Although the setting, plot, characters all work well the drawback of this book I must say is the pacing. You've got to get to the last hundred pages or so for the action to happen. Nevertheless, it is a pretty exciting read, very Agatha Christie-esque. My rating: 3.75/5 🌟 . tw for sexual assault, self harm, depression, suicide.
