Qotd: Have you read books with body positivity rep? Recommend your favourites please. 😊 . I picked up Puddin' by Julie Murphy primarily because I immensely enjoyed Dumplin' by the author, and because Millie was one of the non-main characters I enjoyed reading about in it. While reading Dumplin' I for the first time in my reading life felt like I could relate to the protagonist in a way I haven't before, wrt to body image issues. I felt seen, my issues felt seen, and it gave me the confidence and courage to accept myself for who I am and to love my body better. ❤️ Reading Millie's story is reinforcing those self-accepting(is that even a word?) thoughts of mine and I'm all for it. But, this book has a dual pov, with the other belonging to that of Callie's and I'm not liking her that very much. She is a fat-shaming, snotty, spoiled mean girl, and I hate characters like that. However, I'm really hoping that there's some character development and that she turns out better as the book progresses. 😅
