When in Kolkata, you have to take a toto ride to @aminiarestaurant in Chinar Park for dinner! The chaos, the upheaval, the eagerness in people's eyes to fetch their holy parcel packed with aromatic goodness is priceless to witness! I'm always left astounded. This time we went back to 90s with the time machine when Maa used to have the Aminia special pudding with Dadubhai. I had it for the first time in their Esplanade outlet during my childhood and I still remember the texture slithering down from my tongue, throat, and stomach pleasing my soul. We recapitulated those memories appreciating food on our plate, first and foremost. The Galauti was quite a surprise. Perfectly grounded meat with cute round ulte tawe ke paranthe; absolute bliss! Biryani just doesn't deserve a review because it LITERALLY taught connoisseurs what the best biryani of Kolkata should taste like!
