-1°C mad cold, freezing feet, slippery stairs speaking tales of 350 long years. That's Mukteshwar Dham temple for you—it was more than just a pilgrimage; it was a celebration of faith and determination.  As my mom and I braved the heavy rain, the spiritual aura of the temple beckoned us closer. Dedicated to the supreme soul, the One, Lord Shiva, the temple is said to bless devotees with Moksha.  Perched at 7,500 feet, its zero point lets you enjoy breathtaking views of the Kumaon Hills and its coniferous forests, but also a popular sightseeing spot for those who want to take the view of Panchachuli.  Climbing through slippery, rain-slicked steps, hands clasping for support, it was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating for us. Each step felt like closer to Mahadev, seeking solace and salvation. Ending the year 2024 with gratitude. Lots of learning, wisdom and well, rest better left unsaid. Let us all manifest a mentally healthier and happier 2025.
