When your parents live far away, reunions just hit different. With Aishu, she got to meet everyone at 2.5 YEARS because of COVID, but my brother, bhabhi my niece were there everyone showed up for her naming ceremony. At least she had that. This time around? Only my mom and dad could come when he was born. So my baby is 3 months old now and he still hasn’t met my bhaiya and bhabhi also!! Tomorrow that finally changes. And I’m way more excited than I expected to be. There’s something about your baby meeting the people who’ve known you forever. Who remember when YOU were the baby. Also—till now, literally no one has said he looks like me. Not one person. But I’m absolutely certain that tomorrow, once my family sees him, suddenly everyone’s going to find the resemblance. “Oh look, he has your eyes!” “That’s definitely your chin!” 🤩🥰 If your parents live far away, you get it. The distance sucks. But the reunions? Unmatched. Two sides of the same coin. Tell me, which side are you in ? Same city or different ? When your family met your baby for the first time, how did it feel? Drop a comment, I’d love to hear your story.
