According to the police investigation, accused Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were taken back to Lohagad Fort to reconstruct the alleged sequence of events surrounding Ketan Agarwal’s death. Investigators say the reconstruction was carried out to verify the accused’s statements, understand the exact chain of events, and gather further evidence as the probe continues. Police have also alleged that the duo had planned the crime in advance and even rehearsed aspects of it before the incident. At the same time, a disturbing trend has emerged on social media, where some women have been seen defending or celebrating Siya Goyal’s crime. Justifying or glorifying an alleged violent crime, regardless of who the accused is, is unacceptable. If someone supports an accused woman, other women should be willing to condemn that behavior just as many expect men to condemn men who defend violent crimes. Likewise, if any man were to justify Chetan’s alleged actions, many other men would rightly call him out. This should never become a men v/s women debate. It is about right v/s wrong, innocent v/s criminal.
