Just days earlier, discussions around a bungee-jumping incident in India were also making headlines. Adventure activity operators earn huge profits by selling thrill and excitement, yet participants are often asked to sign lengthy consent forms that shift much of the responsibility onto them. While adventure sports naturally involve risk, many people believe that when accidents happen because of negligence, poor safety checks, or human error, companies should not be able to hide behind waivers and escape accountability.
